The hotel is just across the Aare river from the old city. The hotel is 15 minutes by Tram from the Bern Railway station. The elevator is all glass and quite attractive though quite small to accomodate if you have 6 + bags. The rooms are elegantly decorated and nice. The doors to the bathrooms do not have any locks or bolts, so if you are travelling with your family, all have to be a bit discreet.

We took 9 number tram from Bern Bahnof. It is I think 4 stop from the railway station. The hotel is quite nice. The AC would not go below 23 degrees C, and is quite slow to respond, given that we arrived on a 40+ degrees summer day. We overslept and missed our included continental breakfast. We were given option to have Brunch and pay the difference, but the difference was quite large and so we decided to have lunch at the Bern Market Place near the railway station.

I would definately recommend this hotel to others. It was very nice, clean and modern. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect. It could not get any better. Also, the price was very cheap especially considering your location to town. All of the shops are just over the bridge. You can see the Alps in the distance from your hotel room. It was great and the entire city of Berne is a stop you should make. I went all over Europe and this was my favorite stop.
