The hotel Central is in the very heart of the city on the main shopping avenue. Many theatres and cinemas as well as casinos, summer restaurants and pubs are close to the hotel. The metro station and trolley bus stop are no more than 2 minutes' walk from the hotel.
The hotel has no parking facilities. This is an adequate hotel in central Bucharest. WS1208.
The building is quite austere in appearance in the style of 1950's Romania. It has recently been painted and decorated.
Only serves breakfast and is small.
The lobby is small with Italian tiled floor and wooden reception desk. Access to the breakfast room is via the lobby.
The rooms are small and adequately decorated. They are clean and well maintained. Rooms facing the main street can be noisier than those at the rear.
15 kms to the airport (baneasa), 22 kms to the airport (otopeni), 3 km to the nearest station (north station), 5 minute walk to the nearest metro station (universitate), 8 km to the nearest fair site (romexpo).

HOTEL REVIEWS

Reviews of Central Bucharest

Review by: Mark Hadlow, London, United Kingdom

Stayed: Mar 2008

I would recommend this hotel. But, its not really 3star. Its clean but basic. The bar opens & closes at illogical times.
Single rooms come with double beds.

Plus Point: Its about a 20 minute walk from all the main sites, casinos & clubs - in all directions. All 3 squares are a walking distance.

Minus Point: mattresses are really hard.

Extra Plus Point: the busboy called Michael is extremely obliging & helpful. In a city that dislikes tourists he was a welcome helping hand.
