Hotel is walkable to the main area of downtown. Nice touch to have the Starbucks in the lobby for those of us who prefer a quick on-the-go breakfast in the morning. Also good to have the check-in kiosk for airlines in the lobby area as well.
Excellent service and friendly faces all around. Apples in the lobby and the flavored water station was very much appreciated.
Fitness area wonderful, complete with towels, head phones and well maintained equipment.
This is my second time staying here for business and loved it.

Check-in was fast and efficient. Our voucher was accepted without question. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Room was clean and functional. Check-out was effortless. Overall, a very favorable opinion of hotel and staff. My only complaint was $16 charge for internet connection - the highest I've every encountered, even more so than in Europe.

The Marriott in downtown Calgary is a good hotel, but not quite as upscale as some of it's neighbors. All the same, the rooms are clean, the beds comfortable, and the service acceptable. The location in downtown is close to Stephen Ave, the train, the needle-thing, and is within reasonable walking distance to several downtown towers.
The Starbuck's downstairs is a nice perk, and the other restaurants (and room service) serve good food.
The workout facility has very nice, clean, and modern equipment. A weird layout, but plenty of space all the same.
The hotel could probably use a bit of an update, but that's mainly me just being picky. All in all, a nice hotel that I would happily stay in again.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff from the General Manager to housekeeping.
Food superb and beautifully presented.
Ah, but the gym was above and beyond. Very urbane and classy. Once the fruit bowl was depleted, another selection of fruit magically appeared and the water cooler never was warm or empty. Big fat Turkish towels abounded and the machines were new and plentiful.
All in all exceptional value and above my expectations. I've spent twice the money for less.

Great downtown location. Rooms nice, good for business trip or vacation. Trader's Grill breakfast convenient and food is well done. Very good value for the money spent. Excellent fitness room with headsets provided, water, fruit and towels as well (5 treadmills!). Only drawbacks are the valet parking fee (high at $28 per night) or self parking ($22 and not conveniently located) and the business center within the gift shop (strange location). I will stay here on my next business trip for sure.
