Across the road from the edge of Lake Wakatipu, a five-minute walk from the town centre. Ten minutes drive to the airport. The largest hotel in Queenstown, and perfectly located on the lake shore. Suitable for all groups and individuals looking for a good standard accommodation. There is an outdoor swimming pool and spa pool on the same floor as the restaurant. A very popular hotel among all nationalities. SE0808. A white concrete, 12-storey 1970s building, renovated in the mid 1990s. A medium-sized lobby with some comfortable seating and Internet kiosks. There is plenty of tour information and ideas for things to do around town. Rooms are a medium in size, well equipped, and kept in a good condition. There has been a recent change to the bedding. The bathrooms are slightly dated but tidy. The Ben Lomond Restaurant has commanding views over the lake and mountains. There is a bar on the same level adjoining the restaurant. 10 kms to the nearest airport (frankton).

We stayed at the hotel for a week and paid extra for the lakeside room. To get to the room was a 6 minute trek down 3 corridoors and two elevators. no ventalation in the bathroom...which was needed from the food poisoning from their restaurant. Staff full of excuses...though never follow anything through. Trying to get get help is like praying to a greater force to get blood from a brick wall. there are so many accomodation venues around and all within waliking distance to the town. Dont bother staying here. The pics on the net look great...but not worth the stay.
