Located in a residential area of Reykjavik, a 5 min bus ride from the city centre, this hotel is ideal for those wishing to have a budget conscious choice to explore Iceland's capital. An excellent choice to explore Reykjavik. The hotel consists of 2 buildings, with a reception in the main building. In both buildings there is a breakfast room. The superior rooms are in the annexe building which is adjacent to the main building. Rooms are bright, spacious and offer all the facilities expected of this category of hotel. All rooms are furnished with light wood floor and furniture and decorated with neutral colours. The hotel has a breakfast room located on the ground floor of both buildings. The reception area is small in size however there is a lobby bar to the right of the reception area where guests can sit and relax. 2 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 3 kms to city centre, 4 kms to the nearest airport (reykjavik).

This is nowhere close to the true center as the site suggests. In fact, I think it was about 2.5-3km to the downtown area. At -10c , walking was not an option so it took a $20 USD cab ride each way (When 1 usd=125 isk).

The room was okay, a bit bigger than your standard European hotel.

The water was nasty! Strong smell of sulfur in the bath/shower water. This was truly a deal breaker. We checked out a day early and went to the Klopp Center hotel which was in the middle of it all. Also, no detectable smell in the water! Same clean water at the IcelandAir hotel and the Hilton/Nordica.
