The Atlantico is the perfect hotel for your trip to Rio. Spacious and clean and best of all, perfectly located. A short walk from the beach, in front of the subway station that takes you dowtown or to ipanema. The area is safe and well policed, plenty of restaurats around. This is your best bet for your hollidays in Rio. There's a great restaurant just in front of it called Bella Blue and don't miss the H STERN tour offered at the hotel for free. When taking a cab, don't accept a set price, request the taximeter or get out. You can buy some good sparkling wine at the store in front of the hotel (Pao de Acucar) for a lot less than at the hotel sells it and enjoy it at night at the pool facing either the beach or the Christ.

The hotel is very well located just across the Metro. If you do not want to go to the beach the pool area is wonderful and quiet, to rest, get sun-tan, swim and relax. The buffet breakfast is amazing. The acomodations are very comfortable and the employees very helpful.
The chairs in the pool area were a little uncomfortable when you recline them to a full position.
Overall we were very pleased choosing this hotel.

Great hotel with lots of friendly, English speaking staff. Huge, free breakfast included. Lovely rooftop pool overlooking Corcovado Mountain. Just six blocks from Copacabana Beach.

After spending this amount of money for a room in a hostel in Ipanema, Hotel Atlantico seemed like a bargain.
The room was huge, the pool area on the roof was great and its right across the road from the subway.
